This Monday evening, our national basketball team will meet its Palestinian brother in the Prince Hamzah Hall in the Sports City in the Jordanian capital, Amman, in the second round of the first window of the joint qualifiers (Asia and the World Cup), for the fourth group.
Assistant coach for the basketball team, Aqeel Najm, told the (INA): “Today’s match against the Palestine national team is considered fateful, especially with the insistence on correcting the mistakes that accompanied the Saudi Arabia match.”
Najm added that the team began its preparations for this match immediately upon its arrival in Jordan, as it entered an intensive training unit during which the team focused on the team’s mistakes and developed solutions to avoid them, pointing out that “our team was able to defeat its Palestinian counterpart in the Lebanon Cup, which is a friendly preparatory tournament.” But today’s confrontation has special importance as an official tournament.”
Najm continued, “The training and administrative staff, as well as the players, are determined to achieve victory outside our homeland in order to reach the furthest point in the qualifiers.”
