Namyangju City (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) announced on the 7th that it successfully held the ’30th Namyangju Citizens’ Day Ceremony’ on the morning of the 5th at the lawn of Dasan Central Park, the venue of the Gyeonggi Garden Culture Expo.
This event, attended by about 600 citizens, began with a pre-performance by the Gyeonggi DN Ensemble, followed by a reading of the Citizen’s Charter, an awards ceremony including the Citizen Grand Prize, and a concert, providing cultural enjoyment to the citizens.
First, at the commemorative ceremony, Lee Wook-hee and Lee Ye-dam, representative children’s citizens who were appointed honorary mayors on the 1st of this year, read the Citizen’s Charter, adding to the meaning of the event.

Namyangju Mayor Joo Gwang-deok celebrated the 30th anniversary of Namyangju Citizens’ Day with citizens, saying, “Namyangju City, which started in 1995 with a population of 250,000, has now grown into the 9th largest city among basic local governments in the country with a population of 740,000.”
