jpnn.comJAKARTA – NasDem General Chair Surya Paloh is committed to helping the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government by entering into a grand coalition.
“I think the opportunity, encouragement, desire, spirit of invitation, to be with the government is better. That is my choice, NasDem’s choice,” said Surya Paloh when he met Prabowo Subianto at Kartanegara VI, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Thursday.
Surya admitted that his reason for joining Prabowo’s coalition was only to contribute to building a strong government for the progress of the nation.
Apart from that, he realized that a momentum of unity was needed to end the conflicts that occurred in society during the elections.
With the momentum of NasDem joining KIM, he hopes that the whole community will also end divisions and unite again to support the elected president and vice president.
“We want to end this election problem. Now it is our joint task to move forward to develop this country,” said Paloh.
At the same time, the Daily Chair of the Gerindra Party, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, confirmed that NasDem was joining the coalition.
However, Dasco said that the meeting that took place today did not discuss the division of ministerial seats between the coalition parties and NasDem.
NasDem is committed to helping the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government by joining the coalition.
