The Russian government has approved a decree on the National Center for Physics and Mathematics (NCFM), which is being created on behalf of President Vladimir Putin.
The main goals of the center are called “obtaining new scientific results of the world level, training highly qualified scientists, strengthening the scientific potential of the country.” The creation of the NCFM is carried out with the participation of scientists from the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Kurchatov Institute and other scientific organizations, experts from Roscosmos.
The center will be based on the educational building of the Moscow State University branch and advanced laboratories, high-tech industries will be located in the Sarov Technopark. The interdepartmental council will coordinate the approval of development programs and scientific research, the interaction of government agencies and scientific organizations, the composition of which will be approved later.
