Germany wins its next international match. Overall, the national coach was satisfied – but he also had something to complain about.
Germany wins 2-1 against Bosnia and remains top of group three in the Nations League. An overall confident performance with a brace from Deniz Undav and in the end a total of three offside goals (read more about that here). In the end, national coach Julian Nagelsmann was certainly satisfied – but he also criticized his team.
“Overall, I’m happy. We didn’t start that well, we needed the first ten minutes. Then we were dominant, didn’t have a lot of chances to score, but didn’t allow much,” said Nagelsmann on “RTL”. But he then added: “Overall, we don’t score enough goals to create the chances.” In the end, Germany had fired twelve shots on the Bosnian goal.
Will chances be better exploited against the Netherlands on Monday? An offensive player will not be able to help, as Nagelsmann confirmed that another player, Chris Führich, was injured. And Aleksandar Pavlović is also injured; he probably suffered a small bruised knee.
But Nagelsmann has a player in double-packer Undav who could make the difference again. “He has good competition in the position, but he is someone we are very happy to have with us. He is doing very well at Stuttgart and is their guarantee that they will score a lot of goals,” the national coach continued.
“Not having him would be bad. He’s a really cool guy with funny sayings, he has a cool way of getting the team involved, he treats everyone equally, he does that very well. He’s a positive, life-affirming guy who gives us feels good – on and off the pitch.”
