ArenaNet launches ‘donation bundle’ that allows user participation
NCsoft’s North American development studio ArenaNet announced on the 25th that it will participate in the charity project ‘Extra Life’ campaign for the 8th consecutive year.
This campaign is a non-profit program that supports medical expenses, essential medical equipment, and research expenses for child patients with funds raised in collaboration with the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH), which supports children’s hospitals across North America. .
ArenaNet has participated in Extra Life since 2017 and has achieved a cumulative donation of $1 million (KRW 1.4 billion). ArenaNet plans to launch the ‘Extra Life Donation Bundle’ in Guild Wars 2 from October 29 to November 19, and donate all profits generated through it to children’s hospitals.
Guild Wars 2 users can participate in donations by purchasing the item, and additional direct donation methods are also available.
Additionally, during ‘Game Day’ held on November 1st, ArenaNet will raise donations through 24-hour streaming broadcasts. In this streaming, the ArenaNet development team will personally appear and hold various events, and it is expected to provide a more special opportunity for donations to fans. In 2022, a child patient who received sponsorship appeared in the Guild Wars 2 game, reflecting on the meaning of donation.
