Doha: Qatar has announced a covid protocol for visitors coming to the football world cup. Kovid negative certificate made mandatory for spectators. Vaccination is not mandatory. A mask should also be worn while using public transport. The contact tracing phone app Ehteras should be downloaded by everyone above 18 years of age, officials said. More than 12 lakh spectators are expected to arrive in Qatar. The FIFA World Cup will be held in Qatar from November 20 to December 18.

However, those who test positive for Covid-19 should be barred from drinking. Only Rapid Antigen Test results from official medical centers are accepted, self-tests are not acceptable.
The cost of infrastructure and construction for the World Cup has reached 8 billion (eight hundred crore) dollars. FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 CEO Nasser Al-Qatar said this is almost identical to the cost of previous World Cups.

“This means that Qatar will earn twice as much as it spends, and Qatar will reap the benefits of the World Cup in every sense during and after the tournament,” Nasser Al-Qatar highlighted.
