“The municipality of Nessebar took part in two international tourist exhibitions during the first two months of the year. The participations were realized within the framework of the project “The beautiful Nessebar – Your place to rest among ancient sights”, which is financed by the Ministry of Tourism under the Funding Program of marketing activities of tourist services in the Black Sea municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria,” informed the mayor of Nessebar Nikolay Dimitrov.

The international tourist exhibition “Utrecht Tourism Fair 2024” in Utrecht, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, gathers annually in January, both a professionally oriented and mass audience. The municipality of Nessebar was part of the stand of the tourist operator Corendon International Travel BV, a partner in the implementation of the project. The highlight of the tourism product were the cultural-historical, natural riches and authenticity of the region.This year the organizers of the event reported a higher growth in attendance compared to last year.

The municipality of Nessebar was also part of the 65th edition of the “Brussels Holiday Fair 2024” in Belgium in February. The exhibition traditionally attracts serious interest from the general audience and representatives of the tourism industry. The potential of the area, popular for its seaside holidays, was highlighted , as well as the possibility of being combined with other forms of tourism.

As a leading partner, the Municipality of Nessebar also implements the project “Promotion of the Black Sea destination Burgas and Nessebar on tourist markets”, and as a partner it is part of the projects of the Municipality of Burgas and the Municipality of Primorsko, where the advertising of the region is focused on the tourist markets of Denmark, Great Britain, Poland and Czech Republic.

The participation of the municipality in international tourist exchanges is in accordance with the main priorities of the Program of the Ministry of Tourism and its marketing strategy to establish Bulgaria as a safe and calm four-season destination with a quality, sustainable and competitive tourist product.
