Sandblasting without the required permits from the Municipality of Dodoni, complains the major opposition, which continues to abstain from the meetings of the municipal council, as until today they have not been given offices and secretarial support to carry out their duties.

The first complaint concerned sand mining in P.K. Perdikas, with the head of the faction “Dodoni – Power of Creation” Yannis Karabina noting that the Prosecutor has already intervened on this matter after the intervention of the Environmental Inspectors.
The case of taking sand from the Tyria river follows the same path, which also led to the bringing in of a Municipality employee. “There were not and there are no permits for the sand mining and therefore the Prosecutor will do his job”, noted Mr. Karabinas in his statements, while he also responded to the recent announcement of the president of the Association of Workers in the OTAs of the prefecture of Ioannina, Tina Zeka, on the occasion of bringing the employee.
“I condemn the statements of Mrs. Tina Zeka as press representative of the Municipality of Dodoni. As a member of the Environment Committee, he could defend the environment in this case as well, as he has done in the past, and not become occasional press representatives of the Municipality”, he noted.
Finally, Mr. Karabinas repeated the faction’s request to be granted offices and secretarial support. “We are 46 elected councillors, we cannot meet outside or in coffee shops”, he noted characteristically.
