Arc Ultra and Sub 4: The popular speaker manufacturer Sonos is launching new products on the market. However, they have their price.
In the summer, Sonos released its first over-ear headphones, which are intended to compete with Apple’s AirPods Max. You can find the test here. Now the US manufacturer is bringing its next devices onto the market.
Home cinema fans should be happy about the Sonos Arc Ultra soundbar. According to the manufacturer, the speaker offers twice as much bass as the previous Sonos Arc model.
According to Sonos, 14 drivers are responsible for this, including a so-called Sound Motion woofer and numerous tweeters with waveguides at both ends, which are intended to offer a spatial 9.1.4 audio experience. According to Sonos, this means nine audio channels, one bass channel and four 3D effect channels.
Sonos also claims to have improved voice reproduction in film dialogues. With an advanced voice enhancement feature, soundbar owners can adjust the dialogue clarity to their own needs in the Sonos app. Users can play their own music via the soundbar via the Bluetooth interface.
With the Sub 4, Sonos has also revised its subwoofer. Among other things, it is intended to reduce humming noises due to the inward-facing 4 woofers.
Compared to the previous model, the Sub 4 has more computing power and internal memory. According to Sonos, it has also added new WiFi radios.
Users can pair the Sub 4 with both the Arc Ultra soundbar and another Sub 4. “Combine two subwoofers for maximum bass that boosts every scene and song,” writes Sonos. The subwoofer should also be compatible with previous models.
Both devices Arc Ultra and Sub 4 will be available from October 29th. The Arc Ultra costs 999 euros, Sonos wants 799 euros for the Sub 4. Both devices are available in black and white.
