This year, 5 more social service centers of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan will begin operating.
As Day.Az was told in the public relations department of the ministry, two of them will be opened in Baku, the rest – in Hajigabul, Goychay and Agdam regions.
Social rehabilitation services for children with disabilities and other individuals and families in need of social services will be provided by social workers, psychologists, social educators, speech therapists and therapists in social service centers.
Thus, the number of social service centers will be increased to 10.
Currently, the Absheron, Sabunchu, Narimanov, Yasamal social service centers and the Sumgayit social service office are operating.
These Centers provide socio-psychological support services to children with disabilities and people from other sensitive groups of the population, and implement social measures for their successful integration into society.
