The new wireless charging technology is based on the phenomenon of electrical resonance – an increase in currents and voltages in individual sections of the circuit when the signal frequency changes. This makes it more advanced than the traditional method, which uses magnetic resonance – selective absorption of electromagnetic waves of a certain frequency by a substance.
Magnetic resonance requires precise positioning of the device on the charging platform, which limits its practical use. Electrical resonance allows energy to be transferred freely in space, regardless of the location of the device. Thanks to this, the new system works anywhere – on walls, floors or even in the air.
The system is based on a unique receiver design with an open bifilar coil, which optimizes the energy transfer process. With its help, the team managed to achieve a transmission power of up to 50 watts, which allows you to charge not only phones, but also other devices. In addition, the system supports simultaneous charging of several gadgets, ensuring the stability and efficiency of each of them.
