Nine tourists from Russia injured in traffic accident in Antalya

A bus with a group of 12 Russian tourists was heading to the airport and had an accident in the city of Serik, Antalya province. Nine people were injured in the accident, three of them are in a state of moderate severity, according to the Russian Consulate General in Antalya.

The accident occurred on Sunday at 07.30 am. According to preliminary data of the traffic police, the bus driver lost control, found himself in the oncoming lane and rolled over.

Tourists with injuries of varying severity were taken to nearby hospitals for emergency treatment.

“The condition of three Russians, including two minor children, is assessed as moderate. They remain under the supervision of doctors, ”the message says.

An employee of the Consulate General went to the scene of the accident and to medical facilities. The bus driver was detained pending clarification of the circumstances of the incident.

The Consulate General is in contact with the security department, representatives of medical institutions, a tour operator and an insurance company.
