This Wednesday, normalists vandalized businesses and properties such as the Palace of Justice of Michoacán, during a protest held in Morelia, to demand the release of two of his companions, arrested last weekend during a demonstration.
Hooded, the students left from to Xangari y Patzcuaro and along the way they launched rockets and sprayed paint, including the justice building.
In their wake, they also caused severe damage to the facilities of Coca-Cola Femsa. Videos circulating on social networks show how the young people broke glass on the façade of the building, made pints and destroyed units of the soft drink company.
In their path they also stopped 14 vehicles from the foreign transportation service, situation that they also carried out last Tuesday.
However, yesterday they intensified the actions. In the Huerta Squarethe hooded youths threw stones at the windows and intervened in the businesses.
According to the versions of the normalistas, the protests are also due to the events that occurred in 2022 when police arrived to assault the “Vasco de Quiroga” rural normal school, in Tiripetio, to free kidnapped units, where several normalistas were injured and detained.
Regarding the detained students, the governor of Michoacán, Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla indicated that they were placed at the disposal of the authorities for setting fire to a patrol car and that they are under investigation by the State Attorney General’s Office.
