WHILE, Waspada.co.id – North Sumatra Province (North Sumatra) DPRD held a plenary meeting to determine the composition of the factions for the term of office for the 2024-2029 period. A total of nine factions were determined at the plenary meeting.
The interim chairman of the North Sumatra DPRD, Muhammad Rahmaddian Shah, said that the nine factions determined contained members from the 11 parties that won seats in the North Sumatra DPRD.
Likewise, the Deputy Chairperson who is elected to be ratified has also been determined. The four Deputy Chairmen of the DPRD elected were Sutarto (PDI-Perjuangan), Ihwan Ritonga (Gerindra), Ricky Anthony (Nasdem), Salman Alfarisi (PKS).
“So the plenary meeting determined the factions in the North Sumatra DPRD, there are 9 factions and also determined the definitive leadership for the North Sumatra DPRD leadership for 2024-2029,” said Rahmaddian.
Meanwhile, for the position of Chairman of the North Sumatra DPRD, Golkar, as the owner of the most seats, has not yet decided on the figure who will become the top leader of the North Sumatra DPRD.
“The position of Chairman is still not there, still waiting, Golkar has not been given a letter from the DPP (Golkar). “Maybe as soon as possible, if the letter from the DPP has been issued, we will complete it again to announce it,” he said.
“The hope is that today a faction will be formed and soon the leadership of the DPRD of North Sumatra, we can maximize the work of the DPRD to build a better North Sumatra,” he hoped.
Especially for the Democratic faction, PPP politician Sugiatik was included because PPP only has one seat in the North Sumatra DPRD. The same thing happened to Makmur Marpaung from Perindo who had to join the National Awakening Unity faction.
