Crime writer and former Minister of Justice Anne Holt has allowed herself to be charmed by how Northerners cope with the storm.
And you Facebook posts on Monday evening, she commented on how people in the north take it when the hurricane tears roofs off houses and “balls of men”, as she writes.
Here she makes no secret of the fact that, as a southerner, she is impressed by the stoic calm of the northerners in the storm.
The response may indicate that she has hit a nerve here: By early Tuesday afternoon, the post had over 3,000 reactions, had been shared 2,000 times and had passed 215 comments.
Anne Holt (66) has a history as a police deputy, news anchor on NRK’s Dagsrevyen, as minister of justice for the Labor Party, and above all as a crime writer. She made her debut with Blind Goddess in 1993. Already here, the investigator Hanne Wilhelmsen was at the center, as she has been in a number of later books, most recently in Twelve untamed horses, which was published by Gyldendal publishing house last year. Several of her books have sold in large editions and won awards. Two Hanne Wilhelmsen books have also been made into a TV series. Apart from the crime genre, she has written children’s books – and a book about the football World Cup in 1998.
