TVS Motors recently increased its role in the EV segment with the introduction of the iQube electric scooter. The iQube has entered the market against strong competitors including the Ether 450 and Ola S1 Pro. The Ola S1 Pro scooter is powered by a hyper drive electric motor. The Ola S1 Pro scooter produces 8.5kW (11.3 bhp), 58 Nm of peak torque and 115 kmph of top speed. Ola claims that the S1 Pro’s 3.9 kWh battery will offer a range of 135 km on a full charge. The Ola S1 Pro scooter takes about 6 hours to fully charge the battery using its portable home charger.
TVS iqube
The base variant of TVS’s new iQube electric scooter has a 3.04 kWh battery pack. At the same time its top-spec ST variant gets a 4.56 kWh battery unit. TVS claims that the base variant of the iQube electric scooter can travel up to 100 km on a single charge and up to 145 km on top-spec full charge. The top spec variant can reach 80 percent of its battery capacity in less than 5 hours when charged with a portable charger.
ather 450 plus
The Ather 450 scooter comes with a 6kW PMS motor. It delivers 5.4 kW of power and 26 Nm of peak torque. The company claims that the given 2.9 kWh motor will deliver up to 116 kmph on a full charge and will reach a top speed of 80 kmph. This scooter comes with auto cut and surge safety feature. 0-80 percent charging can be done in 3 hours 35 minutes.

In terms of price, the base variant of the Ols S1 Pro starts at Rs 85,099 ex-showroom. The TVS iQube comes with a price tag of Rs 98,564. However the top-spec of the Ols S1 Pro, the Rs. Available at Rs 1.08 lakh. The price of the TVS iQube ST has not been announced yet. But those who want to buy it can book it for Rs.999. The Ather 450 Plus and X variants are priced at Rs 1.18 lakh and Rs 1.38 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively.
