Omicron | Waiting for scientific evidence is futile

by time news

We cannot wait until scientific evidence is available regarding the potency of the Omigron tripine and the world will come to a general opinion about it. It is important to take precautionary measures against any spread of the virus.

Dr. Ravindra Rannan Eliya, Head of the Center for Health Policies, Eliya, stressed that action should be taken immediately to deal with the limited information available on Omigron strain.

While it has not yet been confirmed that the Omigron strain is more potent than other strains of the Covid-19 virus, he added that further action should be taken to further strengthen measures to prevent foreigners from entering the country in situations where the vast majority of the country’s population is fully vaccinated.

What he further said about this is,

This is not to say that there is no evidence that omicron virus is highly virulent. Rather there is limited evidence for it. Having limited resources is tantamount to skepticism and instability.

It is therefore necessary to balance the threats posed by such instability through precautionary measures. It is worth noting the situation in Wuhan, China, which was last seen in early 2020.

There was no evidence of human-to-human transmission until a few weeks after the virus began to spread. Due to that, no immediate action was taken by the World Health Organization until full evidence was available.

But when all the evidence was available to the satisfaction of the World Health Organization and scientists, it was too late. By then the virus had spread to all over the world.

Similar mistakes were made in both wearing a mask and conducting tests to confirm infection.

So we can not be completely struggling with a scientific question. We cannot wait until a general opinion is reached.

It is important to take precautionary measures against any spread of the virus.

Currently, there is limited information available on the potency of Omigron Trip.

However, before we fully understand that strain, we need to identify the steps to deal with it now and devise appropriate action plans.

The livelihoods of the people have already been badly affected this year as a result of the policies pursued by our country in dealing with the spread of the Kovit-19 virus.

Those who give improper advice and do not consider the severity of the spread of the virus are responsible for it. Moreover, he noted that this was a complete failure of the current government and its administration.
