The 20th anniversary of the Open Air in Purkersdorf not only invites well-known names such as Edmund, Wir4 plus EINS with Wolfgang Ambros, but also the Purkersdorfer ALL STARS and the Wolfsgrabener Band 3012 Company to both on June 15th. and on August 31st. to enjoy the summer.
PURKERSDORF. Not only Philipp Wassenberg from ERGO Insurance, but also Mayor Stefan Steinbichler and City Councilor for Culture Waltraud Frotz are looking forward to the open air. “We are pleased to be able to continue to support the ten-year partnership,” said Wassenberger. Accompanied by the open air concerts, the cultural summer will be heralded in Purkersdorf starting on June 22, 2024. Every weekend the citizens can expect a special event to offer, as Councilor for Culture Frotz puts it, “a beautiful cultural city”.
“Spend the summer with us in Purkersdorf” is the motto.
Regionality in all facets
The first concert will take place on June 15th. took place on the main square in Purkersdorf. Edmund and the opening act 3012 Company can be welcomed this summer evening.
“We tried to create as much regionality and connection to the Vienna Woods as possible,”
says Niki Neunteufel. Although the band has a year off in 2024, they are making an exception here. 3012 Company is extremely excited about the upcoming performance.
“I went to the open air in Purkersdorf as a child and it was a dream of mine to be able to play there myself,”
says Benjamin Horcicka, the duo’s singer. The two kindergarten friends’ lifelong music-making led them to their first single “Searching in Loneliness” in the summer of 2022.
Stars des Austropops
With the Open Air on August 31st. the stars of Austropop knock on the Purkersdorf door. In addition to Wir4 plus EINS with Wolfgang Ambros, special guests such as Boris Bukowski, Christian Kolonivits and Christopher Seiler are also on board.
