The main focus is on preventing the resurgence of ISIS and ensuring that countries that have been affected by this threat receive adequate support. given the evolving nature of terrorism, these discussions are crucial.
TNE: It’s notable that Morocco participated in this meeting. what role do you think morocco plays in the Global Coalition against Daesh?
SEL: Morocco has long been a vital player in regional security and counter-terrorism efforts. By participating through its Foreign Affairs Minister, Nasser Bourita, along with the Moroccan Ambassador to the U.S., Youssef Amrani, and other key officials, Morocco emphasizes its commitment to combating terrorism. Their involvement helps reinforce regional alliances and foster collaboration among member states.
TNE: In terms of practical implications, what strategies do you think were discussed at this meeting to tackle the ISIS threat?
SEL: The meeting likely focused on several strategies, including intelligence sharing, improving response capabilities, and enhancing border security.
