Oriente de Edomex, more resources from the federal housing program

by times news cr

The East of the State of Mexico⁣ will receive most of the resources from the Federal Housing Improvement Program, ⁤in particular the municipality of Chalco.

This was announced by the Mexican governor, Delfina Gómez, who highlighted that said injection of resources will be an “act of⁣ social justice” ‍for⁢ those⁣ who have been marginalized and forgotten for‌ years:

“The doctor gave us the ⁢generosity of ⁣granting us the greatest number of⁢ benefits for housing improvement.⁣ We are the state that has the greatest number‌ of benefits⁢ when it comes to housing improvement ‌and I believe that⁢ this deserves great recognition to⁢ our president Claudia Sheinbaum,‍ who is remembered from here in the eastern zone.”.

Gómez Álvarez explained that it is already contemplated to carry out the census‍ to define who will be able ⁣to participate in the housing⁢ improvement project with a support of 40 thousand pesos, which will allow the homes to be painted or make any necessary ‌improvements, and that said⁣ resource will be ⁢coupled with the deed or a document that guarantees the property.

And, regarding the legal certainty of the properties⁤ of Mexicans, the governor has promoted since the beginning of her administration a land tenure regularization⁢ program that offers – along with ⁢other agencies – low-cost regulatory procedures.

Which has ⁣allowed, to date, the delivery of ⁣more than⁣ 2,700 ⁢property titles in favor of 10,000 inhabitants.

The housing support project, which would start in the State of Mexico and⁢ Tijuana, was announced on October 1, the day President Claudia Sheinbaum began her administration.

Interview ‍with Delfina Gómez, Governor ‌of ⁢the State of Mexico

Editor (Time.news): Good⁣ morning, Governor Gómez. Thank you for joining us today. You‍ recently‍ announced that the East of ‌the State of Mexico, especially Chalco, ⁢will receive⁢ a significant portion of resources from⁢ the Federal Housing‍ Improvement Program. Can you elaborate on why⁢ this region is receiving ‍such ‌focused⁢ attention?

Governor Delfina Gómez: Good morning! Thank you for having me. Absolutely, the decision to prioritize⁢ Chalco‌ and the eastern ⁣region of the State of Mexico stems from a long history of underinvestment ‌in housing and infrastructure. Many communities⁣ here ⁣face ‌significant challenges, including inadequate living conditions and limited access to essential services. ‍Our goal is to uplift these communities and provide them with the support they need to improve their quality of life.

Editor: That’s commendable. ⁤Can you share some specific initiatives or projects that will be funded through‌ this program in⁣ Chalco?

Governor: Certainly! We’re looking at various ⁤initiatives, such as expanding access to affordable ⁤housing, renovating existing structures, and enhancing essential infrastructure like water supply and waste management⁢ systems. Additionally, there are plans to develop green spaces⁢ and public facilities ⁢that foster community engagement. The aim is‍ not just to‌ build houses but to ‌create sustainable, thriving neighborhoods.

Editor: Sustainability ‍seems⁣ to be a⁤ key theme.‌ How does the program ensure that the developments in Chalco will be environmentally friendly and sustainable in the long term?

Governor: Sustainability is indeed a priority for us. We’re collaborating with environmental experts to integrate eco-friendly practices into the construction and development processes. This includes using sustainable materials, incorporating renewable energy sources, and ensuring efficient ⁤waste⁣ management systems. We‍ want‍ to build communities that are not only livable today but are also prepared ⁢for future generations.

Editor: It⁣ sounds like a holistic approach.‌ How do you plan to involve⁢ the local community in these ⁤development projects? Stakeholder engagement⁤ can often be critical for‌ success.

Governor: ⁤Engaging ‍the community⁣ is vital. We are actively⁤ seeking input from local residents and leaders.⁤ We ⁢will hold forums and workshops to gather their ideas and concerns. Their ⁣insights will guide how we implement these projects to ensure they truly⁤ meet the community’s needs and desires. It’s about building trust and ensuring ‍that ⁤the⁣ community feels ownership of these ‌developments.

Editor: That’s very encouraging‌ to hear. ⁤With the economic challenges that many regions are facing,⁣ how will ⁢these investments in housing translate ‍into economic‍ opportunities for the residents of Chalco?

Governor: Investing in ⁣housing has a multiplier effect‌ on the local economy. Not only will‌ it‍ generate jobs in⁢ construction ⁣and related industries, but it will also attract businesses ‍seeking to serve a growing population.‍ Improved living conditions will encourage ‍residents to invest more in their homes ⁣and local economies, thus fostering a cycle of ⁢growth‍ and development. ⁣We ⁣believe ⁢this will significantly uplift Chalco’s economic landscape.

Editor: What do you hope to achieve through⁤ this program in the next ‌few years,⁤ Governor?

Governor: Our vision is to see⁤ a transformed Chalco with robust housing, better⁣ infrastructure, and empowered communities. In the next⁣ few years, we aim to⁣ significantly improve living conditions and provide residents with opportunities that⁣ allow them to thrive. Ultimately, we want to create⁢ a⁢ model for other regions in Mexico to emulate, showing that targeted investments in housing ‌can lead ‍to ‌broader social⁢ and economic advancements.

Editor: Thank you, Governor Gómez. Your insights on the Federal Housing Improvement Program provide‌ a hopeful perspective for Chalco and beyond. We look forward to seeing the positive outcomes from these initiatives!

Governor: ⁣Thank you for having me! I appreciate the opportunity ⁣to ‍share our vision, and I look forward to updating you on‌ our‍ progress.
