The Iraqi Basketball Federation confirmed on Monday that the delegation of the national basketball team will leave next Wednesday to face its Jordanian counterpart in the Asian qualifiers.
The president of the federation, Hussein Al-Ameedi, told the (INA): “Our national basketball team will leave the capital, Baghdad, next Wednesday, to face its Jordanian counterpart, on Friday, in the Jordanian capital, Amman, as part of the second Asian window qualifying competitions for the Asian and World Cup finals.” .
Al-Ameedi added, “Today, Monday, our team completed its preparations in the camp it set up in Baghdad, which lasted two weeks, in preparation for participating in the second window competitions,” explaining that “the training included daily training units, and it also played four trial matches with a number of league teams.” Professionals, and another team representing club professionals.”
