Our national handball team coach, Qutaiba Ahmed, announced today, Wednesday, the list of players who will represent Iraq in the Algeria International Championship, which will be held in Algeria during the international break from December 26, with the participation of the teams of Iraq, Algeria, and Turkey.
The team’s supervisor, Haitham Abdel Sattar, said in a statement – received by the (INA): “The coach invited 19 players, namely: (Ahmed Makki – Zain Al-Abidin muhammad – Montazer Qasim – Ahmed Khaled Adnan – Mustafa Qahtan – ahmed Tariq – Ali). al-Murtada – Mustafa Mohamed Ahmed - Majed Abdel Reda).
He added,”among them are also Montazer Nazim – Wael hafez - mustafa Muhammad Faiq – Badr Al-Din Hamoudi – Ali Raad – Ali Abdel Reda - Muhammad Ali Mahdi – Sajjad Hamoudi – Ali Salah – Sahand Ashraf.”

Q: you’ve recently announced the roster of 19 players. What factors did you consider while selecting them?
A: When selecting the team, I took into account various factors, including player performance in recent matches, physical fitness, and teamwork. We have a mix of experienced players like Ahmed Makki and younger talents such as Ahmed Tariq.This blend is essential for building a competitive squad that can perform under pressure.
Q: Can you tell us a bit about the players you’ve included? Are there any particular standouts?
A: Certainly.Some notable players include Ahmed Khaled Adnan and Montazer Qasim, who have shown extraordinary skills in past tournaments.
