The national team concluded its training, this evening, Wednesday, by conducting its final preparations at the Basra International Stadium in preparation for facing the Palestine national team tomorrow, Thursday.
Iraq will face its Palestinian counterpart, tomorrow at nine o’clock in the evening (21:00) in a match hosted by Basra International Stadium in the qualifying round for the 2026 World Cup (third round).
The Iraqi Football Association stated in a statement – received by the (INA) – that “today’s training witnessed the presence of the President of the Iraqi Football Association, Adnan Darjal, the second deputy, Younis Mahmoud, and the members, Ghaleb Al-Zamili, Muhammad Nasser, Ahmed Al-Musawi, and the Secretary-General, Muhammad Farhan, and all 25 players participated in it.” They are: Jalal Hassan, Fahd Talib, Hussein Hassan, Safaa Hadi, Lucas Shalmon, Amir Al-Ammari, Ayman Hussein, Rebin Sulaqa, Manaf Younis, Ibrahim Bayesh, Ali Jassim, Muhammad Al-Taie, Ahmed Yassin, Muhannad Ali, Mirkhas Dusky, Mustafa. Saadoun, Hussein Ali, Louay Al-Ani, Youssef Amin, Ali Fayez, Amin Al-Hamwi, Amjad Atwan, Zaid Tahseen, Saad Natiq, Ahmed Yahya.”
It is hoped that “the national team delegation will leave immediately after the end of the match via a private plane to the city of Incheon in South Korea, and from there head to the city of Suwon, for advance preparation before facing the South Korean national team in the fourth round.”
