Our national football team will conduct its first training session at eight o’clock this evening at the Sports City Stadium (C) in Basra as part of its preparations to meet the Philippine national team in the double qualifiers.
The correspondent of the (INA) stated that “the team management allowed media professionals to come to the training unit for (15) minutes to conduct their interviews or photograph part of the training.”
He added, “The stadium designated for training will be the only place allowed for media presence, conducting coverage, and obtaining information before the match, and you will refrain from conducting any interviews at the delegation’s residence or outside the training stadium.”
He explained, “Our national team arrived at Basra Airport yesterday evening with most of its stars and headed to its residence at the Grand Millennium Hotel.”
It is noteworthy that this gathering is the first for our national team since its last participation in the Asian Nations Finals in Qatar.
