New Delhi: Travel tech firm OYO has recorded a major improvement in business after the severe setback during the Covid period. The company reported an 83 per cent increase in bookings in business cities between April and November this year after a gap of two years.

According to the company’s 2002 figures, Delhi is the business city with the highest number of bookings. The cities of Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Chennai are next behind in terms of bookings. Hyderabad recorded 100 percent growth in bookings, Bengaluru 128 percent, Kolkata and Chennai 96 and 103 percent, compared to Delhi’s 50 percent at the top spot.

An increase in business bookings was recorded in January itself after the relaxation of the Kovid restrictions. With the start of the new financial year in April, there was another increase. The company stated that it has provided a better accommodation experience for business travelers in compliance with the Kovid standards and therefore, the preference of OYO for bookings by small and medium enterprises, traditional business establishments, companies, start-ups, travel management companies and film production houses in the country was reflected in the figures.
