The parliamentary group of National Action (PAN) in the Senate of the Republic will not attend the session this Saturday, October 12, in which the public draw for the positions of the judges who will be elected on election day in June 2025.

In a statement they emphasized that they cannot validate a electoral process which has already begun without the legal framework to give it certainty.

“We have decided not to attend the public insulation exercise planned for the election of said positions on election day in June 2025, since the legal reforms proposed to carry out the electoral process contain errors, contradictions and ignorance of the constitutional text. which they are going to regulate,” they expressed.

This electoral process, they continued, lacks the guarantees of transparency, impartiality and equity that provides certainty to those who will participate.

Furthermore, they condemned the fact that legislation is being passed overlooking the suspensions dictated by various federal judges, breaking the system of balance of powers.

“The senators of National Action reiterate our commitment to a better justice system free of political influence and manipulation,” they concluded.
