Participants in the “Notables Forum” confirm their absolute support for the Presidential Council

Notables and Elders participating in the Forum of Notables, Elders and Sheikhs, which was held today, Wednesday, in Tripoli, under the auspices of the Presidential Council, affirmed their “absolute support for the Council’s efforts to make the national reconciliation project a success.”

In their speech, delivered by Al-Ramah Al-Dahnous, they praised “the success of the recent municipal elections, which confirmed the Libyans’ desire to achieve stability.”

They stressed “the necessity of investing in the success of local elections, by holding parliamentary elections, and eventually presidential elections, to complete the electoral entitlement that the Libyan people aspire to.”

Representatives of civil society institutions stressed, in the speech delivered by Abdul Rahman Al-Mansouri, “the necessity of the Presidential Council continuing to accomplish the task entrusted to it, which is the file of national reconciliation, and the confirmation of the adoption of the Transitional Justice Law, before holding the inclusive National Conference, holding parliamentary elections, and the referendum.” A permanent constitution, and the election of a president who will lead the country to safety.”
