Our national seated volleyball team will participate in the China Open Championship early next April, which is considered a qualifier for the Paris Paralympics.
The head of the Paralympic Volleyball Federation, Ahmed Hassan, told the (INA): “The aforementioned tournament is one of the important external competitions that we are counting on a lot to snatch the qualification ticket to the next Paralympics, especially since the first-place finishers will qualify directly to Paris, despite the strength of the teams.” In which Algeria, Iran, Brazil, Germany, France, Britain, Japan, and India will participate, in addition to the host country, China.
He added, “The team held an internal gathering and its players attended the daily training units in the specialized hall of the National Paralympic Committee,” explaining that the Kirkuk camp, which lasted for 10 days, witnessed a complete unloading of the players in order to prepare them technically and physically in an optimal manner, in addition to a commitment to healthy food, with intensified… Theoretical lectures to support the team psychologically and morally.”
