In it Port of Veracruzby the mayor Patricia Lobeira Rodríguezthe program of cultural activities has begun as part of the celebration of the Day of the Dead.
From last October 20 to November 5, residents of this municipality and national and international tourists will enjoy a cultural agenda to enhance the traditions of this season.

Day of the Dead Agenda
For this Friday, October 25, a workshop on altars with balloons is scheduled to be held at the Recinto Reforma Museum; the special presentation of the Christopher Columbus Folklore Group in the Zócalo; Alleying with the Danzonera Alma de Veracruz; the Altar of the Dead Exhibition on the stairs to the balcony of the Municipal Palace and Critical Mass in the Macroplaza del Malecón at 7:00 p.m.
One of the most attractive days of this cultural agenda will be October 27, when the Catrinas Carnival takes place on a tour of the Mario Molina souvenir tram. The Carnival will start at 6:00 p.m.
Meanwhile, for October 29, the Catrina Contest is planned to be held in the Zócalo of the Port of Veracruz. While on October 30, the Day of the Dead Papaqui will be held at the Mario Molina Fire Station.
On October 31, the Zócalo del Puerto will be decorated with a concert by the Municipal Band, which will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. and for which it is expected to receive both local visitors and tourists of all ages.
As for November 1 and 2, the maximum days of this celebration, the Day of the Dead Festival will be held in the Macroplaza with a schedule from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Regarding the events that preserve traditions and roots of the culture of the Port of Veracruz, the opening of the Municipal Pantheon has been prepared for November 2, as well as the holding of a mass in the Panteón Chapel. Also, there will be distribution of bread of the dead and champurrado to finish the cemetery activities around 6:00 p.m.

Finally, and although not directly linked to the All Saints’ celebration agenda, on November 2 and 3, the first edition of the Paseo del Café Festival will be held for all lovers of this drink, which seeks to exalt the coffee variants that are They produce and market in the Port of Veracruz.
In a message shared through her social networks, Mayor Patricia Lobeira Rodríguez invited people to enjoy the special program and celebrate deceased loved ones through this tradition.
“Join the celebration of the Day of the Dead with activities full of tradition and color. Live the magic of the altars, music and dances that honor our loved ones in a family and cultural environment. Let’s celebrate together one of the most emblematic traditions of Mexico!” said Lobeira Rodríguez.
