PBoC leaves the Medium Term Loan Facility (MLF) rate unchanged at 2.5%

The People’s Bank of China (PBoC) issues a 1-year Medium Term Loan Facility (MLF) at a flat rate of 2.5%. It injects 1.45 trillion yuan against the 650 billion yuan in MLF that matures today.

The MLF rate prepares the ground for the monthly setting of the Prime Loan Rate (LPR) on the 20th of this week. The current rates are:

3.45% for one year 4.20% for five years
