The family of rapper Sean Combs, known as P. Diddy, was met with many questions from the media outside the Federal Court in New York. Relatives of the rapper attended the preliminary hearing in his case, arriving holding hands.
The rapper’s 84-year-old mother Janice came with some of his children. There were 33-year-old Quincy Brown, who is the child of Diddy’s late ex-wife Kim Porter, but was adopted by the rapper. Christian King, 26, and 17-year-old twins D’Lila Starr and Jessie James were also there. They are the children of Pippi Diddy and Porter.
The rapper’s eldest son by designer Misa Hilton-Brim – Justin Dior was also there, as was Chance, 18, from P Diddy’s relationship with Sarah Chapman. The rapper has a total of seven children, and only the youngest – 2-year-old Love – was absent from the case.
All the rapper’s children held hands as they left the court and did not react to the shouts from the crowd at them, writes “Daily Mail”.
“Janis, your son is a rapist! Your son is a rapist and he deserves to go to jail,” shouted the crowd at the rapper’s mother.
Days earlier, Janice Combs told the media that her son “is not a monster.”
The 54-year-old rapper arrived at the case in an orange prison uniform. He is accused of sexual violence, human trafficking and murder.
The saga with the rapper began in 2023, when his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura accused him of rape and abuse, but later withdrew her complaint in court. After that, new victims quickly began to appear and details of the musician’s stormy personal life surfaced.
For 10 years, Combs hosted “white parties” at his home with world stars. They were also attended by prostitutes and possibly minors who were forced into sex. The rapper was arrested in September, and the case is scheduled for May 5, 2025.
Until then, lawyers for both sides will gather evidence and prepare for what is likely to become one of the most high-profile and tumultuous cases in recent years.
If convicted, the rapper could face life in prison.
