Rahima Khatun will go to Kushtia Meherpur from Saidabad. He said that he did not cut tickets in other vehicles. Because the Golden Line car was ahead of other cars. All trains were scheduled after 2:30 p.m. So he bought a ticket saying that he can go earlier in this car. But the car still hasn’t arrived.
Rafi, a passenger going to Magura, said it was time to leave the car two hours ago. But still the car could not reach the counter. I don’t know when it will come. I spoke to the counter and they said the car is in a jam.
Meanwhile, when asked about the reason for the schedule disruption, the people responsible at the counter said that there is a lot of jam in Dhaka. Every car is getting late due to the traffic jam.
When asked about the sale of tickets, the ticket seller at the Golden Line bus counter said that there are no tickets in any vehicle. All tickets are sold out. Many are coming back. Many people are taking tickets in advance for tomorrow. The sudden announcement of closure on Thursday has increased the pressure to sell tickets.
According to the government holiday calendar, the next 11th and 12th October Friday and Saturday are weekly holidays. And October 13 is a holiday on Sunday. In that case, if the holiday of Thursday (October 10) is added, the government employees will get a total of four days off together with Durga Puja and the weekly public holiday.
After visiting the Dhakeswari temple, Mahfuz Alam, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser, told reporters that for a long time the Sanatan religious people had been demanding to extend the Durga Puja holiday. They celebrate Ananda from Shashti to Dasami. This time Friday-Saturday falls before the tenth day of Durga Puja. So we thought to extend one day holiday on Thursday (October 10). So that they get a big time to celebrate Puja.
