Since the early hours of the morning on Monday, the pilgrims began arriving at Mash’ar Arafat, after spending the Day of Tarwiyah in Mina, in preparation for performing the major pillar of Hajj, where they will listen to the sermon on the Day of Arafat, and perform the noon and afternoon prayers, combined and shortened, before the Naftarah after sunset. The Saudi authorities announced, in statements followed by INA, the success of the plan to escalate pilgrims on the Day of Tarwiyah to Mina, as well as the plan to escalate pilgrims to Arafat via the Al-Mashaer train, and via thousands of buses allocated to them.
Arafat received the pilgrims with the largest environmental project, to protect them from sunstroke, and to moisturize the hot weather in the summer, through 300,000 “neem” trees distributed in the Arafat area, and hundreds of thousands of water sprinklers, which will lower temperatures and protect pilgrims from dust and sunstroke.
