The Lufthansa Group’s Christmas break is over. One day before Christmas Eve, pilots from the tourism subsidiary Discover Airlines went on a five-hour warning strike.
After the strike announcement, the Lufthansa subsidiary created an alternative flight plan that was intended to minimize the consequences for passengers. Passengers would be informed individually. “Our priority is to offer all of our guests a travel option,” said a company spokeswoman.
In Frankfurt, some short and medium-haul flights were rescheduled before the strike period, which also led to earlier return flights from holiday destinations. The flights in Munich were to be handled by the parent company Lufthansa. (dpa)
