The advancement of online AI tools is so rapid, it’s hard to keep up with the new capabilities that are constantly becoming available. Some are received with enthusiasm, others with reservations and some cause… chills.
In this category also belongs the website PimEyes, which uses Artificial Intelligence to locate all the photos of a person found on the internet.

As with most AI tools, it’s fairly simple to use. All you have to do is upload a photo of yourself and let the AI find you. What the tool will do is analyze the face and gather every photo that exists on the internet. Some called it “the perfect tool for stalkers”, others were more flattering in their comments.
However, a journalist of his LADbible who tested it stated that “it’s probably better at finding your friends than your own photos on the Internet, but it’s incredibly fast. The first two photos were of me, but the remaining six were of other people with similar facial features, mainly eyebrows and beards.”
Another calls the website “annoying but extremely valuable” because it found who used his face without his consent so he could demand the site take the photo down.
