A Frontier Airlines flight suffered a serious incident when landing at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas last weekend.
According to local reports, this flight came from San Diego and, during its landing maneuver, the pilots reported smoke in the cabin, which led to declaring an emergency.
Subsequently, there was a forced landing, described by airport officials as “rough,” and resulted in the plane’s tires exploding.
In audiovisual material shared on social networks, flames can be seen coming out from under the aircraft and a notable trail of smoke after landing.
In that sense, the Clark County Fire Department immediately responded to the emergency, ensuring that all 190 passengers and seven crew members were safely evacuated to the gate area.
Fortunately, Las Vegas authorities reported no serious injuries among those involved in the incident.
It is important to mention that, so far, the cause of the accident is being investigated by the airline and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), which indicated that the airport was closed for a few hours after what happened, which significantly affected scheduled flights. .
The National Transportation Safety Board also became involved in the investigation of the incident, seeking to determine the causes and prevent future similar accidents.
