Despite several talks between Ukraine and Russia, the war continues without any results. Russia, which has re-intensified its attack on Ukraine in the past few days, on Wednesday carried out attacks on the Ukrainian capital Kiev and its surrounding areas.
Regarding this, the mayor of Kyiv city told reporters, “We are constantly sounding warnings about attacks. All people should be safe in the bunker. “The city’s vital infrastructure is under attack,” he warned. Russian forces have continued to attack the Ukrainian capital, leaving power infrastructure damaged.
In this situation, while operating on a child in a hospital in the capital of Ukraine, it seems that the doctors performed the operation with the help of a battery torch and a power generator due to a power cut. A video of the child being operated on has been widely shared on social media.
Commenting on the incident, one of the doctors in the video said, “We don’t have electricity to perform heart surgery. So we ended up doing the surgery using the light we had. This is a surgery called cardiopulmonary bypass to replace two heart valves.”
Various parties are expressing their appreciation for the action of the doctors.
