Prabhas is the star actor of southern cinema. His next movie is ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. Directed by Nag Ashwin, his co-stars are Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani.
The release of this movie with a budget of Rs 600 crore has been delayed due to various reasons including the Corona crisis. If everything goes well, the movie will be released in theaters on May 9. But before that, the bargaining started with the sale of digital assets. Finally the digital assets of the movie have been sold for a huge amount.
According to Siyasat.com, OTT platform Amazon Prime Video and Netflix have expressed interest in buying the digital assets of Prabhas’ movie ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. The maker had demanded Rs 200 crore for the OTT property. Recently, Amazon Prime Video bought Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada language properties for Rs 150 crore (over Rs 197.52 crore in Bangladeshi currency). However, no information on the sale of Hindi language properties is available yet.
The movie ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ will be released in Hindi and Telugu languages. Besides, it will be released by dubbing in several other languages including Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, English.
South famous filmmaker SS Rajamouli will play a cameo role in the movie. In the movie, Prabhas will be seen in the role of the mythological character ‘Kalki’, while Deepika will be seen in the role of ‘Padma’. Amitabh Bachchan will be seen in a tough role like ‘Ashwathama’.
The movie will feature eye-catching VFX work. The makers believe that the budget of the movie will exceed 600 crore rupees. It is going to be one of the most expensive movies in the history of Indian cinema.
