Antonia Ilias has been unanimously convicted by the Five-member Criminal Appeals Court of 13 years imprisonment for participation in the so-called judicial circuit as well as for money laundering.
In 2005, the former investigator fled abroad and was subsequently arrested and imprisoned by the British authorities in May 2011.
He was released in December 2012 on probation and wearing a bracelet. Despite all this, she managed to delay her return to Greece until today, requesting political asylum from Britain.
