The Strega Prize has reached the final selection: on 7 June at the Roman Theater in Benevento, the 12 semi-finalist titles faced the evening of voting which led to the selection of the five. After the surprise of 2022 – when the semifinalists reached 7, for the first time in the history of recognition (read here) – this is the number of novels that will compete for the final of the 2023 Strega Prize on the evening that will see the announcement of the winner on July 6, at the National Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia, in Rome. Here you are the cards of the books competing in the five and, to follow, the other 7 who finished out of the race after passing the selection of the dozen. With some declarations of the authors collected on the occasion of the meeting at the Auditorium del Mann (the National Archaeological Museum of Naples) for the assignment of the Strega Giovani, won by Ada D’Adamo (read the Time.news of the awarding here). The finalists are: Rosella Postorino con I was just loving you (Feltrinelli), 217 votes; Ada d’Adamocon Come d’aria (elliot), 119 votes; Maria Grazia Calandrone con Where you didn’t take me (Einaudi) 183 votes; Andrew Canobbio con The night crossing (The ship of Theseus) 175 votes e Romana Petri con Steal the night (Mondadori) 167 votes.
