The book was publishedMir Jalal “World of Nizami Ganjavi“, which is a joint project of the House of Writers and the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation (FTKN).
As Day.Az reports, the book was published in the series “Outstanding Personalities of the Turkic World.” The first publication in this series is the book “Heydar Aliyev and Muhammad Fuzuli“about the brilliant poet Muhammad Fizuli, whose 530th anniversary was celebrated this year by the Order of President Ilham Aliyev.
The presentation, held at the headquarters of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, was attended by prominent writers, poets, literary scholars, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps of the Turkic states in Baku and employees of leading media outlets.
Executive Director of the House of Writers speaking at the event Shafag Mehralieva said that Nizami is one of the pillars of literature of the Turkic world. His legacy, which celebrates universal human values, has become a source of inspiration and role model for prominent writers around the world. In his work, Nizami turned not only to Greek, Indian philosophy, history and philosophy of various eastern peoples, but also used proverbs and sayings associated with ancient Oguz-Kypchak traditions. In such unity, Nizami outlined the appearance of Azerbaijanis and Azerbaijaniness from the 11th century to the present day.
Recalling that the FTKN was created on the initiative of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, with the support of the heads of state of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, the President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Aktoty Raimkulova noted that the organization has implemented a number of projects to popularize Turkic culture and heritage in the world. In addition to the series “Outstanding Personalities of the Turkic World”, the foundation also publishes a series of books “Literary Pearls of the Turkic World” and “Scientific Pearls of the Turkic World”.
“We believe that this publication will be received with interest by book lovers and will encourage Azerbaijani readers to in-depth study of both the literary heritage of the brilliant Nizami Ganjavi and the scientific and artistic creativity of the outstanding scientist, professor, scientist and writer Mir Jalal,” Aktoty Raimkulova said.
Speaking at the event, the chairman of the Youth Council of the Azerbaijan Writers’ Union, poet Farid Huseyn, professor of philology at Baku State University Tahsin Mutallimov, director of the National Museum of Azerbaijani Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi Rafael Huseynov noted that the traces of the spiritual world of Nizami Ganjavi in Azerbaijani literature were deeply explored in the works of Mir Jalal and will remain an everlasting legacy for generations to come.
Deputy Minister of Culture Saadat Yusifova emphasized that such projects make a great contribution to the literature and culture of the Turkic world.
The concluding remarks were made by the son of Mir Jalal, Rector of ADA University, Ambassador Hafiz Pashayev noted the importance of popularizing the creativity of writers and poets of Turkic peoples and wished the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation success in its activities.
The artistic part of the event featured the leading soloist of the Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, director of the Ganja State Philharmonic, Honored Artist Ramil Gasimov, who performed popular arias written on the ghazal of the brilliant Nizami.
At the end of the presentation, the President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Aktota Raimkulova, was presented with the first sample of the new “Turan” collection, made from tea varieties grown at the Yaşıl çay farm in Lankaran.
