President Biden Launches $25 Million Ad Blitz in Battleground States to Improve Economic Perceptions and Counter MAGA Agenda

by time news

President Joe Biden is planning to launch a $25 million television and digital ad campaign in battleground states this month, according to campaign officials. The first ad, titled “Fought Back,” focuses on the economy and aims to improve voter perceptions of Biden’s handling of economic issues. The ad also references former President Donald Trump and his “MAGA agenda,” as Democrats try to tie GOP candidates to Trump in the upcoming presidential primary debate. The campaign aims to convince skeptical Americans that Biden’s policies have led to an improving economy, despite polling data showing that a majority of Americans believe the economy is still in a downturn or getting worse. Only 37% of Americans approve of Biden’s handling of the economy, according to the recent CNN poll. The ad campaign will highlight the impact of Biden’s legislative accomplishments, such as the Inflation Reduction Act, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the CHIPS and Science Act, and the American Rescue Plan. The campaign will run for 16 weeks in battleground states and will also target Hispanic and African American voters. The campaign will run ads during highly watched television events such as the NFL kickoff and the World Series. It will also place ads on streaming services and create short-form content for Instagram and YouTube. The campaign aims to counter the Republican debate by running ads that contrast Biden’s record with the “MAGA agenda” on the airwaves and on the ground in Wisconsin. The Democratic National Committee and Biden campaign are holding a press conference and events ahead of the debate to engage key coalition groups. They will also launch a billboard campaign in Milwaukee, where the debate is taking place. The DNC and Biden campaign will set up a messaging “war room” in Washington to provide rapid response throughout the debate. Overall, the campaign aims to reach Americans with Biden’s message for the middle class and their fundamental freedoms, according to Julie Chavez Rodriguez, Biden’s campaign manager.
