Presidential issue not yet decided: Shafiqul Alam

President Md. Chief Adviser’s press secretary Shafiqul Alam said that no decision has been taken by the Chief Adviser or the Advisory Council regarding Sahabuddin‘s post or not.

He said, ‘No decision has been made on this yet. You will know if something happens.’

Press Secretary of the Chief Adviser briefed the journalists after the Chief Adviser’s meeting with the BNP on Wednesday (October 23) morning.

In the morning, a BNP delegation went to the Rashtriya Guest House Yamuna, where they met Chief Advisor Professor Yunus.

Nazrul Islam Khan, a member of the BNP standing committee in the delegation, told reporters that if anyone tries to create a constitutional or political crisis in the country, it will be resisted unitedly.

Meanwhile, the chief adviser’s press secretary avoided the question whether the chief adviser had any talk with BNP on the presidential issue.

He said, ‘BNP leaders are supposed to inform the journalists in this regard.’

Earlier at around 11 am, Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan said that the meeting will start shortly at the residence of the Chief Adviser on Presidential Issues.
