Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif meeting with the President of UAE in Pakistan

(Owais Kayani) Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif met with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in Rahim Yar Khan. They discussed various issues including economic cooperation, regional stability, climate change and promotion of mutual interests at the global level.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated the important role of UAE in Pakistan’s development journey. He emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to expand cooperation in areas such as renewable energy, technology, infrastructure development, development of skills and vocational training among youth, and trade.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan highlighted the UAE’s deep interest in cooperation with Pakistan in the fields of mining, minerals and agriculture. He praised the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for stabilizing the economy of Pakistan. He emphasized that this new economic force has created possibilities for increasing bilateral investment and cooperation.

The UAE President reiterated the UAE’s commitment to enhancing its long-standing partnership with Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of people-to-people ties and shared prosperity.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked Sheikh Zayed Muhammad bin Al Nahyan for the unwavering support of the United Arab Emirates during difficult times, especially in terms of economic cooperation. The two leaders reiterated their commitment to peace and development in the region and stressed on working together on issues of mutual interest.

The meeting concluded with a joint commitment to promote greater cooperation, especially in priority areas, to ensure a bright future for both countries.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and Special Assistant to Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi were present in the meeting.
