The Prosecutor’s Office requested a date to link 13 more people to the Metastasis case. In the List presented by the Public Ministry is the former assemblyman for Correismo, Ronny A. and the provincial prosecutor, Yanina V. It was reported in a statement: “The Prosecutor’s Office requested that a date be set for the connection of 13 people to this case for alleged organized crime”.
The same entity indicated that it has sufficient elements to presume participation in the crime of organized crime in the case in which another 39 people are already prosecuted.
The Metastasis case came to light at the end of 2023. The Prosecutor’s Office argues that a criminal structure existed under the command of the murdered drug trafficker Leandro Norero. The key element in the case was Norero’s cell phone in which links between drug trafficking, judges and politicians were evident.
In this same case, the former president of the Judiciary Council, Wilman Terán, was also prosecuted. Daniel Salcedo and Mayra Salazar were also linked. These last two were also named in the Purge case.
