Pyeongtaek City (Mayor Jeong Jang-seon) announced on the 12th that it successfully concluded the ‘2024 Career Network Workshop (hereinafter referred to as Workshop)’ to revitalize Pyeongtaek City’s career network in the city hall conference room.
This workshop was held for the first time this year to reflect the demand for a place for exchange between schools and career experience centers. About 90 people, including career career managers from elementary schools in the district, career teachers from middle and high schools, experience center staff, and career instructors, participated to form the Pyeongtaek City Council in 2024. The completion of the career advancement project was a final achievement.
The contents of the workshop include △ awards for contribution to the revitalization of career education in Pyeongtaek City, △ introduction of experience centers and program information within the district, △ sharing of Pyeongtaek City Creative Education Center career and advancement business results and future directions, and △ venue for exchange (exhibition of promotional material for experience center, etc.). It received a great response from participants.
Pyeongtaek Mayor Jeong Jang-seon said, “I am grateful to career officials for their hard work to ensure career diversity for youth, and we will continue to build a career exploration support system so that youth can make strategic career plans in line with the rapidly changing times.”
A career official who participated in the event said, “It was a useful time to share experiences and gain a lot of information through the workshop, and I hope that this kind of communication venue will be operated every year.”
Pyeongtaek City announced that it will continue to build a network where schools and local communities cooperate and exchange with each other in order to provide various career and advancement programs to youth.
Meanwhile, Pyeongtaek City (Mayor Jeong Jang-seon) announced on the 11th that it successfully held practical competency strengthening training for workers at long-term care institutions in cooperation with the National Health Insurance Corporation and local nursing homes.
This training was designed with the goal of improving the quality of long-term care services, which are becoming increasingly important in an aging society.
The training was conducted for about 100 workers at long-term care institutions in Pyeongtaek City, including facility directors, social workers, and nursing care workers. The lectures were centered on long-term care insurance claim-related training provided by the National Health Insurance Corporation Pyeongtaek Branch (Branch Manager Jeong Seung-ryong), accounting-related training was provided by All Care Accounting Co., Ltd. (CEO Jeong Man-geun), and practical training was provided by The Jo Eun Nursing Home Together Pyeongtaek Branch (Director Lee Jeong-ah). Relevant training was conducted.
In particular, this training focused on field cases to strengthen workers’ ability to respond to various situations they face. Participants expressed satisfaction, saying, “It was beneficial to learn practical content that can be immediately applied in practice.”
Kim Eun-mi, head of the Elderly and Disabled Department, said, “Strengthening the capabilities of workers at long-term care institutions is a key element of caring for the elderly, and we will continue to do our best to raise the level of nursing services in the region through various education and support.”
This training was promoted as a model of cooperation between Pyeongtaek City, the National Health Insurance Corporation, and local medical institutions, and is evaluated as an exemplary case of public-private cooperation.
