Pyeongtaek City (Mayor Jeong Jang-seon) announced on the 12th that the Pyeongtaek City Small Business Association held the 2nd Pyeongtaek City Small Business Day ‘Go! It was announced that a ‘communication festival’ was held.
This event was hosted by the Pyeongtaek City Small Business Association and supported by Pyeongtaek City in commemoration of Small Business Day on November 5th, and was attended by about 200 people, including local small business owners, organizations, and group leaders.
The first part of the event included customized management consulting for small business owners, and the second part ended with a festival consisting of an opening ceremony, a singing contest, and a congratulatory performance by invited singers.
Additionally, at the opening ceremony, commendations were presented to about 20 small business owners who contributed to the development and revitalization of local small business owners.
Lim Yong-pil, chairman of the Pyeongtaek City Small Business Association, delivered a message to revitalize small business districts and small businesses, shouting the slogan, “Pyeongtaek City will survive only when Pyeongtaek City’s small business owners survive.”
In response, Pyeongtaek Mayor Jeong Jang-seon said, “We celebrate the Small Business Day event where small business owners in Pyeongtaek City can communicate and unite, and we will do our best to provide policy support for small business owners who are struggling due to the difficult economic situation.”
In addition, Pyeongtaek City (Mayor Jeong Jang-seon) announced that it held the ‘2024 Pyeongtaek City Social Economy Product Evaluation’ at the Songtan International Exchange Center on the 15th with the participation of 9 social economy companies.
A consumer evaluation panel comprised of professional product planners (MDs) from 11th Street, Kakao Makers, Lotte On, Happy Narae, and Lotte Mart, as well as four members of Pyeongtaek Doorae Consumer Cooperative and Hansallim Consumer Cooperative participated as judges in this evaluation.
The evaluation committee evaluated the company’s products based on product information, competitiveness, product quality, design and packaging, social value relevance, growth potential, and distribution channel entry status.
At this exhibition, Kiho Co., Ltd., Made From Co., Ltd., Brown Skin Co., Ltd., Benong Agricultural Co., Ltd., Seodumul Brewing Co., Ltd., an agricultural corporation, One Bowl Cooperative, Pyeongtaek Regional Self-Sufficiency Center, a social cooperative, Pyeongtaek Arts and Culture Cooperative, and Acud (Co., Ltd.) A total of 9 social economy companies participated, including 6 companies in the food industry and 3 companies in the industrial products industry.
A city official said, “Companies selected as excellent quality products through this evaluation will be entitled to participate in a large distribution fair in early December for free.”
Meanwhile, within Pyeongtaek City, 229 social economy enterprises are operating, including 15 Ministry of Employment and Labor certified social enterprises, 12 preliminary social enterprises, 5 village enterprises, 1 preliminary village enterprise, 6 self-reliance enterprises, and 40 social cooperatives.
