Passengers arriving in Bahrain do not need a Kovid inspection and quarantine

Manama: Authorities in Bahrain have announced further exemptions from existing Kovid restrictions. Those arriving at Bahrain International Airport will no longer need to undergo the Kovid PCR Test to enter the country from Sunday. Precautionary quarantine after entry into the country is also waived.

The country’s civil aviation department announced the new exemptions last night. The recommendations of the Task Force on Kovid Defense in Bahrain were approved by the Government Executive Committee. This was followed by an announcement by the Civil Aviation Department last night.

The country has also changed the protocol applicable to those who come in contact with Kovid positives. Quarantine is no longer mandatory for those who are currently in contact with Kovid sufferers. Quarantine is not mandatory for those who do not have green status in the BeAware mobile application and come into contact with those who are Kovid positive.

Under the new rules, those in contact should only be tested if they have symptoms. Rapid screening should be done as soon as those in contact show symptoms. If the test is positive, you can go to any drive-through test center and get a PCR test. Or you can go to private hospitals and get tested. You can make an appointment for a check-in by calling 444 or through the BeAware mobile app.

The easing of restrictions is based on evaluations of the effectiveness of Kovid vaccination and booster doses in the country. It has been found that people have increased immunity to Kovid after vaccination. But individuals must continue to take safety precautions, including wearing a mask for Kovid prevention.
