Qualcomm Unveils New Snapdragon X Elite SoC Processor to Compete with Intel and AMD Chips

Qualcomm officially announces its promising new Snapdragon X Elite SoC ARM processor aimed at integrating laptop PCs to compete with Intel and AMD chips. It is announced in 3 editions, but also a 4th: Snapdragon X Plus.

The Snapdragon X Elite is probably the most anticipated processor this year.
Conceived by Qualcommhe is in fact one of the first SoC – System-on-Chip – architecture ARM who could compete with Intel and AMD CPUs to integrate laptops running Windows.

Engraved in 4nmthe Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite is already expected in these Lenovo laptops but also Microsoft Surface.

Previously Qualcomm had communicated on TDPs of 28W and 80W.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon Oryon processora part Adreno chart as well as part NPU Hexagon.

According to Qualcomm the Snapdragon X Elite graphics solution is 36% more efficient with equal consumption or 50% less energy consumption for equal performance under Wildlife Extreme that the Intel Arc graphics part integrated into the Core Ultra 7 155H Intel Meteor Lake.

Under Geekbench (multithreads) the part Snapdragon X Plus processor would be 37% more efficient and consume 54% less energy with equal performance as the Core Ultra 7 155H.
